The Boston Celtics overcame a 15-point deficit in the fourth quarter to defeat the Indiana Pacers 133-128 in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Sunday night at TD Garden.
Jaylen Brown's 3-pointer with 61 seconds remaining tied the game and forced overtime. The Celtics outscored the Pacers 13-6 in the extra period to secure the victory.
Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 36 points, while Brown added 30 points and 9 rebounds. Malcolm Brogdon led the Pacers with 30 points, and Myles Turner added 23 points and 13 rebounds.
The Celtics, who are seeking their 18th NBA title, now hold a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series. Game 2 will be played in Boston on Tuesday night.
